A Bunch Of Fascists (The Ephrom Josine Show Ep. 113)

Gab Is Melting Down

For those who do not know, Gab is more or less the libertarian/right-wing/racist and antisemitic version of twitter. Am I being mean? Nope. It turns out the man who just shot up a synagogue this weekend was a user a Gab and posted regularly.

Most Gab users are those who got kicked off of twitter for being racist. This guy seemed to be no exception. So naturally, many places including PayPal, GoDaddy, and much more cut all ties with Gab. Because of that the platform is more or less completely dead. The creator did not like.

Andrew Torba, AKA Mr. Gab, is not pleased with how people have been covering and is having a complete meltdown on twitter.

This includes saying Yahoo wants him dead for reporting on him and informing us that striking him down will just bring him back more powerful. The best of these is easily when he posted a Bible quote about killing brown Jews while trying to defend himself from claims of being racist and antisemitic. But all of this leads to one question: Where will the Gab man go when he's banned from twitter for being racist? I guess we'll never know.

10 Reasons To Not Vote Republican (The Midterm Special Part 4 Of 4)

Note: This is the fourth of four columns that will be released every Monday leading up to the 2018 midterm elections.

As many of you know, Ben Shapiro spent the past month doing a 4 part special of Fox News about the midterm 2018 election. I figured it would be best for me to end my 4 part midterm special by responding to how he ended his 4 part midterm special.

Ben ended his series with 10 reasons you should vote Republican. So, being the partisan hack that I am, I figured I would take his reasons and explain why they're actually reasons you shouldn't vote Republican. Here you go.

1: The Courts

Donald Trump has appointed two people to the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. Gorsuch, of course, is a corporate shill who supports companies being allowed to do basically whatever they want (from the party of Teddy). Meanwhile, Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual assault.

Even on the local level, things aren't much better. This includes putting radical catholic Amy Barrette and another individual who believes in ghost. This court has waged war against Unions, LGBT rights, and much more that should be held as important parts of liberty.

2: The Investigation

Do you want to know what actually happened in the 2016 election? For that matter, do you want to know why so many conflicts of interest exist in this administration? Well, then you should not support Republicans considering they are against transparency in government and have even supported anonymous money in politics.

3: Impeachment

This won't actually happen. It's just very funny they think it can happen.

4: The Economy
While I may not personally be an economist, here's what I know: Under the last 2 Republican presidents (both George Bush's) we hit the worst economic point since the great depression. Democrats, for all their faults, have not managed to create an economic downturn on that level since the great depression. Also, the president during the start of the great depression, Herbert Hoover, was a Republican.

5: Foreign Policy

Do you not like the idea of going to war with Iran, doing regime change in Venezuela, and toppling Assad? Then the Republican party may not be the party for you.

6: Culture War

If Republicans win, the US will be in a very bad state. However, they'll make sure to have a reason for such. This is where the distraction known as the "culture war" comes in. You see, it's the fault of those queer people and not the fault of our bad economic policies. Can't wait for another federal marriage amendment.

7: Attacks On Religious Liberty

The Muslum ban, that is all.

8: Twisting of Social Media

Jeff Sessions more or less wants social media to be nationalized. He wants them to not be able to enforce their own terms of service because it hurts them more, despite them being able to go on any number of right-wing websites and spew their pretend facts.

9: Media Complex

We live in a world where people call Sean Hannity the "shadow chief of staff", that is all.

10: Mob Rule

The mob is the Republican Party. Most Americans want single payer, more gun control, and no wars. Yet, Republicans make sure we never get them. They want the rule of orginazed money, which is just as dangerous as the rule of orginazed mob.

Make Sure Your Representatives Believe In Science (The Midterm Special Part 3 Of 4)

Note: This is the third of four columns that will be released every Monday leading up to the 2018 midterm elections.

This week, the United Nations released a report saying climate change will almost certainly destroy the world by 2030. Every government in the world recognizes Climate Change across the board, except the US. Every country also signed on to the Paris Climate Agreement, except the United States of America.

In the Senate, 53 people deny the reality of Climate Change. Meanwhile, 232 Representatives in the House also deny this basic truth. Denying reality should be a strike one your out for being in politics. It's just that simple.

Make Sure Your Representative Represents You (The Midterm Special Part 2 Of 4)

Note: This is the second of four columns that will be released every Monday leading up to the 2018 midterm elections.

A recent gallop pole found that independent senator Bernie Sanders is the only politician in the US to have an approval rating over 50%. Morning Consultant also found Bernie Sanders to be the most popular Senator in the country as of July 2018 with a 63% approval rating.

Meanwhile, the least approved senator is Majority Leader Mitch McConnell with a disapproval rating of 56%. Others on that list include the moderate Republican Jeff Flake, the party line pusher Marco Rubio, and the infamous blue dog Joe Manchin.

What I find most interesting is that the most disliked Senator, isn't just the leader of one of the two political parties, but also the leader of the party with the most senate seats. Why is this? Because Americans don't elect representatives that actually represent them.

McConnell won his 2014 election with 56.2% of the vote from the state of Kentucky. This is despite only 30% of Americans approving of his performance as a Senator. Of course the senate elections aren't federal so it shouldn't be 1 to 1 approval and votes, but the gap is clear.

Meanwhile, a liked senator like Sanders won in 2012 by a vote of 71%, and has an approval rating of 63%. It also seems that when a senator is more progressive the approval rating seems to be much more similar to the percent of people they were elected by.

So make sure whoever your representative is actually represents you, stop having these really weird disparities like the ones that currently exist in the senate.

Make Sure Your Representative Is Against Sexual Assault (The Midterm Special Part 1 Of 4)

Note: This is the first of four columns that will be released every Monday leading up to the 2018 midterm elections.

On Sunday, Senator Lindsey Graham went on Face The Nation to talk about the FBI investigating Brett Kavanaugh. During that interview, he made it clear there is nothing the FBI could find that would make him change his mind on Kavanaugh. This was happening while Kavanaugh was under investigation for rape.

Meanwhile, in the Senate, Jeff Flake has already said he would not let the FBI investigate if he were up for reelection in 2018. Jeff Flake, despite having his term up, decided to not run for reelection because of things like this. (Although he's almost certainly doing a presidential run in either 2020 or 2024) Linsey Graham will also not be up for reelection until 2020.

However, that doesn't mean the pro-sexual assault (or at least not anti-sexual assault) congressmen don't walk among us everywhere we go.

Senator Ted Cruz, one of the least likable men in politics, for instance, voted against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. Why? Because the gays would also get protection under the new version. The horror.

So before going to vote make sure the person representing you also doesn't think it's good to have sex with someone without permission.
